I have loved a good party ever since I can remember; for my 5th birthday all I wanted was the Barbie Hawaiian Ice Party that boasted an awesome pineapple shaped shaved ice maker. I was in business after that, even if I could only have my cousins and my sister on the guest list. Fast forward a few years and I still love throwing parties, but nowadays it looks more like a Bachelor viewing party with my girls, hosting the family Christmas party or celebrating one our kids birthdays with friends and family.

Owning an event venue has been my dream for over 10 years, and now it’s actually happening! My husband, Austin, and I have three children, Otis, Oaks and Vi. I have been a wedding photographer for over a decade with Nia Capri Photography & Design, which has allowed me to stay at home with the kids, while learning the ins and outs of the event industry. To me, there is no occasion too small to warrant having a party. Whether it’s your baby girl’s first birthday, your grandparent’s 50th anniversary or your wedding day, I can’t wait to help you celebrate at the Holt House.

Details. They are my thing. I am the girl that created a spreadsheet for everything in my life and has them meticulously sorted and filed. I label and organize every drawer, file, and day of my life. The details of your wedding are my way of truly celebrating what makes each couple special and all that their future holds.  I believe that our love for others can be shown through the attention to detail we provide. I also believe that the intricate details of the Holt House are what create the perfect setting for an unforgettable event.  I want couples to know that we considered the timing of every minute, the placement of every chair, and the lighting of every candle  to make their day special and unique to them.

I am a wife to Mitchell, mother of two girls, Lyda and Mavy, and a high school math teacher. Our small cattle farm in Reedy Creek is where we want to raise our family, but our first home was in Uptown Lexington. We fell in love with the little shops, bbq restaurants galore (if it ain’t Lexington style we ain’t havin’ it), parks, the library, and the small town friendliness everywhere we went. I am thrilled to still be apart of the hustle and bustle of Uptown Lexington by being a hostess at The Holt House.
